The people of Ikaria have been appreciating the wonderful smell of Rose Geranium and have been using it as a culinary herb, mostly for sweets, since always. They have planted it, let it expand and in some cases grow on its own, wildly.
We collect the fresh leaves and flowers during the peak of its flowering season. It is a very low yield plant and we produce small amounts of Rose Geranium essential oil every year, which we keep them for our own use.
Its hydrosol though is available and is always in high demand due to its beautiful, floral, lemony aroma and its tonic properties.
